Description

This is one of the now-famous Russian axinites, gemmy and in excellent shape, that came out in the late 1980s from this remote mining region. They were gone from the market shortly after, and haven't come out since that time.

They stand as being the world's finest axinite crystals of size for the extreme glassiness, lustre, and sharpness of form.

This one is truly exceptional, one of the best for the size!

Ex Armin Wendland collection.
