Description

Sharp, equant ilmenite crystals from the well-known Faraday Mine of Bancroft, Ontario are a sought-after species from this locale.

This very good, lustrous, dark metallic-gray crystal cluster is nearly pristine and consists of large ilmenite crystals up to 5 cm across.

Classic old material from the Robert Nowakowski Collection.

This famous locality and species are discussed in the 1982 Mineralogical Record Special Issue on Ontario.
