Miniature (4.5-7 cm)

Description

Mali is well-known now for the combination of globes of translucent green prehnite in association with dark epidotes, along with a find of yellow "Mali garnets".

This, however, is a specimen from a recent find of very large and interesting andradite garnets. They measure up to 6 cm across - so are very large - with stepped growth on their faces and a sort of metallic deep brown sheen. Very sharp and attractive.
