Description

An attractive specimen of well-formed white "ram's horn" flower-like cluster, formed by, curved, parallel crystals of selenite on matrix.
This kind of formation occurs when one side of the crystal grows more rapidly than the other. The matrix consists of grey-brown dolomitic limestone of Aalenian-Bajocian, Middle Jurassic age.
