This is a fantastic three-dimensional specimen of blue-gree chalcedony all around the specimen.

Very attractive old time specimen from the famous Hüttenberg mining area in Austria

Hüttenberg is an old, historic mining area – iron was mined there. Really of relevance in it´s history – ever heard about boric iron? The high quality iron (ferrum noricum) , which was used for Roman Army came from Hüttenberg and Erzberg. First mentioned in old documents from 1266!
