Description

These "opal pineapples" are unique to this locality and have always been quite rare. The example shown here is a spherical shaped cluster of pointed crystals replaced completely by opal. Many of the crystals show some bluish "fire" , also on the backside of the specimen. These are classic pseudomorph specimens. Ex Dr. F. Krantz collection. Very interesting old specimen with two beautiful old labels.
