Description

Kottigite is a very rare mineral from the famous Ojuela Mine and this is an outstanding specimen.

A fabulous, 1.2 cm starburst of highly lustrous, platy, blades with a hint of bluegreen is aesthetically set on the sturdy gossan matrix.

Kottigite is related to legrandite, for which Mina Ojuela is renowned. This striking piece is from the small finds of the 1960s and 1970s.
