Description

Associated with colorless quartz, is a vug containing lustrous and translucent, ivory colored sheaves of the rare mineral bavenite.

The crystals, to 8 mm across, were first found in the Baveno area of Lake Maggiore, Italy. Their chemistry is made up of calcium, beryllium, aluminum, silicate.

These are outstanding and large crystals for the species.
