Description

A rich specimen of chalcomenite, a rare by-product of oxidation of primary copper minerals (CuSeO3.2(H2O). It is only ever seen in fairly tiny crystals. At this locality, it results from the oxidation of krutaite.

Several deep blue chalcomenite crystals in vugs of the krutatie ore matrix with minor yellow-white olsacherite microcrystals.
