Description

A fine and rarely seen specimen of Kongsbergite from Spain featuring several, somewhat platy, very bright, sharp, lustrous, metallic crystals with minor matrix.Kongsbergite used to be a valid species, but is now a variety of Silver containing about 5% Mercury. This is a very fine specimen from a find in 2001 from a now abandoned mine in Andalusia, Spain.
