Pyrite Psm Pyrrhotite

Feather Pyrite
Pseudomorph

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Neudorf, Harz, Saxony - Anhalt, Germany
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
11.5 × 6 × 1 cm
Description

A very fine cut and polished slice of some of the finest and rarest pseudo-morphed materials worldwide. Feather pyrite is only known from this one location worldwide. Those incredibly beautiful dendrite-like aggregates in dolomite-calcite-matrix shape winter-landscapes with leave-less bushes of silver-colored shiny pyrite when cut and polished. Looks like expressionistic art. The locality is long defunct.
