Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Kamfundwa Mine, Kambove, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.4 × 5.2 × 4.2 cm
Description

One of the nicest specimen of this new cobaltoan calcite find at the Kamfundwa mine. It is the only 'real' vuggy one I've seen so far. The crystals are bright and glossy. The color changes from almost purple to a very reddish pink, depending on the light - and it's impossible to reproduce it on screen. Also you get those inner reflections because of it's partial transparency, which makes the edges blur a bit and it looks like you have two colos in one crystal.

Far far better in nature.
