A complete fossilized shell ('steinkern'/internal cast) replaced by baryte with sand inclusions in a ball of the same material (called "Steinhardter Erbsen" = "Steinhardt peas"). Tertiarian - about 38 million years old. Both halves of the bivalve have been preserved and are standing out of the opened ball, one side cracked open. A little scratch on one part - probably from a metall plough/cultivator, as most of these fossils were field finds.

Species is pribably glossus or arctica.
