Description

Fantastic pseudomorph of chrysocolla (ajoite) after limonite after azurite. Encrusted with tiny ajoite crystals.

Thre are discussions going on wether the material is chrysocolla or ajoite.  Recent analysis of this material by the University of Arizona concludes it's ajoite, not chrysocolla. I just got a confirmation by Prof. Robert Downs. Still, I'm not sure.

The color is far more intense greenish blue, far better in nature. Just not reproducable decently.
