Chrysocolla Psm Malachite Psm Azurite

Pseudomorph

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Lupoto Mine, Kakumba, Kipushi, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.4 × 4 × 3 cm
Description

Rare 'double- or triple-pseudomorph'/epimorph. Little turquoise colored chrysocolla crystals cover turquoise colored chrysocolla with a malachite core. Mindat suggests it's a triple pseudomorph after malachite after azurite.

Anyway, it's rare, unique and very beautiful, this specimen specially well colored, much stronger in nature than it appears on those pictures and more striking, turquoise-green-blue.

No disturbing damage. Very aesthetic.
