Ktenasite

Type Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Jean Baptiste Mine, Kamariza, Agios Konstantinos, Lavrion District, Attiki Prefecture, Greece
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
2 × 5.5 × 3.3 cm
Description

Good sample of this rare copper-zinc sulphate from the type locality. A Greek collector expressed doubts about the material being really ktenasite but normally I can trust my sources.

Looking at it closely it might be a pseudomorph - perhaps that's the reason for his doubts (he didn't see it in person). If you buy it and find out it's not what it should be I'll take it back naturally.
