Aggeneys, Namakwa District, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster

Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.7 × 5.4 × 3 cm
Description

A very unique combination of sphalerite- and siderite-mix-crystals as epimorphs after calcite crystals. The calcite was totally dissolved, leaving but hollow shells. A few of those 'crytsal shells' are broken, so you can see the new cristallization inside. Very rare material which came out in 2006 and disappeared quickly from the market.
