Bournonite & Boulangerite

Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Apollo Mine, Raubach, Neuwied, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
4.5 × 7.5 × 6.9 cm
Description

The Apollo mine is famous for it's excellent bournonite crystals. And, yes, there is one in the the upper right corner almost hidden under the quartz matrix. I missed it while taking the pictures (but it would have been hard to get it right with my equipment anyway). It's about 0.3 cm, lustrous with a good structure. If you're bidding on this I guarantee to take it back if you're not satisfied.
About the rest of the specimen: a lot more bournonite in and on siderite matrix (some micro crystals too) plus pyrite cubes and boulangerite - you might even discover rings and loops under the binocular. I will send this glued in a box with soap powder.
