Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Kreimbach-Kaulbach Quarry, Lauterecken-Wolfstein, Kusel, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
5.6 × 9.2 × 13.8 cm
Largest Crystal:
1.70cm
Description

Beautiful green boytroidal aggregates of prehnite up to 0.4 cm contrast with the sheer white bundles of pectolite. Dark green to black julgoldite sits in-between together with some perfect calcite crystals.

The pictures are a little too dark and reddish. The original is far better. A nice sample of a long finished locality, from which the best German prehnite came from.
