Bobritzsch-Hilbersdorf, Mittelsachsen, Saxony, Germany
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.5 × 3.5 × 3.4 cm
Description

A beautiful specimen with orange-brown stilbite crystals on dark smoky quartz (because the base is opaque black it is 'pertly' morion) with orthoclase, albite and some greenish gray chlorite crystal groups (could also be duftite).
The morion crystals are not completely black - the tips are almost clear. And it seems that the black color comes from inclusions rather than natural radiation - maybe stannite? - sphalerite? Very interesting ...
