Description

Very rich specimen of red microcrystals originally identified as dorrite, but believed to be rhonite by the crystal from.  Could also be fayalite or forsterite.  Associated with microcrystals of numerous unidentified species including black microcrystals (hematite and/-or magnesioferrite?), slender yellow-orange microcrystals, and bright yellow microcrystals.  A very interesting specimen from this famous German locality.  See enstatite and nepheline specimens from the same locality.
