Description

Very nice and rich specimen of tiny dark red manganoneptunite crystals, associated with serandite, rhodochrosite, two different habits of aegirine (black and acicular green needles) and white crystals of possibly franconite, in addition to a single gemmy orange crystal of an unidentified species (labuntsovite-Mn?).  A gorgeous world of crystals at the microscopic level.  It appears that the large serandite has recrystallized into microcrystals and is literally covered with microcrystals of rhodochrosite rosettes.  Ex-Ecole Polytechnique (Montreal University) specimen.
