Description

Argyrodite is a very rare germanium-containing silver sulfosalt first discovered at the Himmelsfürst Mine in Brand-Erbisdorf near Freiberg.

This very fine example has a rich coverage of crude intergrown grey argyrodite crystals and crystalline masses on a matrix of argentopyrite and some marcasite. This piece comes from the original find from september 1885 at the 1/2. 11 Gezugsstrecke, Himmelsfürst Mine.
