Description

Pyknite is an uncommon variety of topas, found only at four locations world-wide. Almost all specimens were recovered in the 1970's and 1980's at the best known locality for this mineral; Altenberg in Saxony, Germany.
The specimen has a rich coverage of typical yellow pyknite crystals up to 4 cm in matrix.
