Description

High grade finely banded quartz vein. There are submicroscopic specks / clots of opaque mineralisation.

Izawa et al [1990] report the principal metallic minerals are electrum, naumannite-aguilarite, pyrargyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrite and marcasite, with minor amounts of sphalerite, galena, stibnite, tetrahedrite, miargyrite, hessite (?), Ag-Au selenide, acanthite, Cd-sulfide (greenockite or hawleyite), and hematite. The grain size of electrum generally ranges from less than 1 to 25 microns rarelyexceeds 0.1 mm contains 66-81 wt.% gold (average 70 wt.%

The clost are likely electrum / naumannite.

The samples is from the Hosen No. 2 vein.
