Summit Cleft, Weißeck, Murwinkel, Tamsweg District, Salzburg, Austria

Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

8.7 × 7.5 × 4 cm
Description

This fluorite comes from the third cavern of the Summit Cleft. Due to the influence of water, the surfaces of the fluorites have a matt sheen and show a very intensive, square, stepped crystal structure with multiple stepped edge growth. The piece shows its true beauty with backlight: A change of colors from different shades of purple and different shades of cyan. The violet colors in the cyan color range have settled at the edges of the crystals, resulting in very beautiful patterns that are not so easy to see on the photos. In addition, a second generation of smaller fluorites have crystallized in some areas. You can read the exact report on this find on my homepage.
