Description

The Sulfur specimens of Sicily have long been considered the best that the world can provide. One of the distinctive things about Sicilian specimens is the tendency for the specimens to show large, stout single crystals on a Aragonite matrix. Here we have a free-standing single crystal with a diameter of 3.5 cm from the front view and 4 cm in the side view. The crystal is undamaged. In the lower area is some aragonites grew which show an intense pink color under UV light.
