Description

A beautiful pyritized ammonite from Russia with opalescent red and lavender to violet colors. Small pyrite crystals have also grown on the ammonite. The piece is well shaped and undamaged on both sides. It was found in the so-called Lamberti Zone and comes from the Upper Callovian, part of the Middle Jurassic. Preserved with clear varnish. Really impressive!
