Description

I was thrilled when I was able to salvage the first pieces of this quality from my new cleft. Despite their intense color, these fluorites are very transparent - almost glassy. The crystal displays a beautiful violet color on the outside and an good blue to cyan color on the inside. This color build-up causes the fluorite to change color as the piece is moved. The fluorite measures about 4 cm at the edges. The crystal surfaces show a fine square texture with a silky luster due to water etching. There are some old healed contacts on the corners which were taken into account when creating the reserve price. Nonetheless: This piece is brighter and more colorful than the well-known pieces from Summit Cleft and raises the bar for good fluorite from Weisseck! First, second, fourth and fifth photo with lowest LED backlit. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to show the exceptional quality on the photos.
