Description

This fluorite has a nice story: In February 2019 I traveled back to Austria with 2 of my sons over the west coast of Portugal. We drove with a converted Fiat van in which we also stayed overnight. On the way back we passed near Berbes. I said to my sons we should stay there overnight so I can look for fluorites at night. At nine o'clock in the evening we reached Berbes. My search was unsuccessful at first and at 1 o'clock in the morning I thought of stopping the search. I tried another place and was able to open a pocket. Unfortunately I only had a short chisel, a light fist, and little time. But I was able to find some nice pieces. I came back very dirty to the car at 5 a.m. The journey continued at 7 a.m. A one night cleft, so to speak - what remained was an open pocket with many beautiful pieces.

This specimen is a feast for the eyes! A group of fluorite cubes with intense square texture. The beautiful fluorite displays highly glossy surfaces and measures up to 4 cm on the edges. The cubes also show a very good transparency with multiple darker zonings on the edges. The piece came to light only for cleaning - since then it has been stored in the dark in a box to keep the original color. A very aesthetic piece with a perfect construction!
