Description

This fluorite comes from a new find at Weisseck Mountain. Reinhold Bacher found this piece in July 2019. (A detailed report will follow on our homepage in 2020.) The fluorite shows a new color for the known Weisseck Fluorites. It is a very transparent aquamarine color. The cube measures 2.5 cm at the edges. Its faces are very well etched with an excellent gloss. The back is heavily etched and looks like skeletonized. A small piece on the back is detached from the specimen, but cannot fall out. That's a really good piece of this new find. This found only produced a fist full of well-developed single crystals, and only a few groups and matrix specimens! There is hardly a new offer due to the small number of good specimens. These photos were taken outdoors in daylight.
