Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Bergmännisch Glück Mine, Frohnau, Annaberg-Buchholz, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8 × 6.2 × 3.2 cm
Description

It is very difficult to find a piece in this size and transparency. The quality and luster of this specimen is remarkable! A perfect specimen of amber-yellow to blue- (and purple-) zoned fluorite crystals up to 2.5 cm! The sharp terminated crystals are showing purple to blue zonings. As seen in the picture, there are some golden chalcopyrite crystals grown on the fluorites, which make this piece even more attractive. And there are intergrown chalcopyrites inside of the fluorites too. The surfaces are highly lustrous and display a fine square texture. The location “Bergmännisch Glück” is famous for special kinds of fluorites. A really charming piece - despite the size it has retained its transparency!
