Description

A color-intensive example for the species from this German locality with bright orange-red crystals of 1 cm in length. In combination with black mimetesite scattered over the front side of a 11 x 7 x 5.3 cm matrix. This locality consisted of several open cuts for nickel between 1952 in 1990. The localities are famous amongst mineral collectors for the unexpected occurrence of crocoite discovered here in 1977. This specimen was found in 1986. Good examples are not usually available on the market today. Ex Albert Strasser Collection.
