Description

The magnesite repository in Sunk/Hohentauern is famous for its large, whitish and transparent dolomite crystals. The displayed specimen is crystallized as floater piece. It consists of four intergrown crystals on a main crystal, two of which are especially dominant. The crystals are very transparent, which is uncommon for their size. Their faces show good gloss and fine striation. Additionally, the specimen is partially covered with “Bergleder”. A truly impressive specimen from this location, undamaged and hard to capture its beauty on a photograph!
