Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

Description

A rare type of calcite: the elongated crystals are hexagonally stretched. Similar to a stalactite the crystals are hollow inside and consequently look like pipes. Hence the name pipe calcite. These specimen are hard to recover because they are often grown into each other within a narrow cavern. Therefore some calcites show contact marks. Very good three-dimensional structure!
