Description

This specimen comes from a new alpine find at the Hohe Tauern in Carinthia. Water-clear quartz crystals on matrix covered with bright mica at the longitudinal faces and clear, highly lustrous terminations. The mica covering gives the crystals a frosty character. The crystals reduce towards the top – this is typical for this locality. One crystal is doubly terminated. The specimen stands in the displayed position without support. No significant damage to report.
