Description

Dark blue-green chrysocolla overgrown with striking blackberry-like clusters of lustrous, black spherical heterogenite. Heterogenite is an uncommon cobalt oxy-hydroxide, with some of the finest and richest examples coming from the famous L'Etoile du Congo Mine (Star of Congo Mine) in Katanga. The shiny surfaces come from contact touches in the pocket.
