Summit Cleft, Weißeck, Murwinkel, Tamsweg District, Salzburg, Austria

Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
4.9 × 2 × 1.8 cm
Description

A lot of different varieties of fluorite was found in the Ice Cleft of Weisseck Mountain. What is special about this locality is that within a few centimeters the shape and color of the fluorite can change completely. Also, it happens very often that small bags contain only two or three beautiful pieces of one variety of fluorite.

This piece is just lovely! The fluorite shows a highly glossy surface with a light square texture. The outer layer is clear but within you can see a dark violet zoning along the edges.. First, and third photo with LED light as backlit. The backside is also well crystallized. An undamaged floater-piece of brilliant aesthetics and quality!
