Description

Awesome and colorful zoned fluorite cluster of so called “Rainbow-Fluorite” from the famous find in Frohnau near Annaberg in the Ore Mountains of Saxony from the year 2005. Only two pockets were found! The piece shows crystals up to 2.3 cm. At first glance the specimen might seem a bit dark. However, with backlit the fluorite shows its real beauty and displays its impressive play of colors: An amazing yellow, green, blue, purple and violet zoning on the edges (photo 1, 3, 4 and 6 with lower LED light as backlit). It's like holding a rainbow in your hand. This sample is very well formed - in a multistepped way. The faces also feature a charming waxen luster. A few smallest golden chalcopyrite crystals perched on its surface. This kind of fluorite is very rare and highly requested because of the quality of coloration especially of the small available.
