La Pesquera, Cuenca, Castilla La Mancha, Spain
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.6 × 3.5 × 0.6 cm
Description

A tender star-like piece of aragonite.  An approximately 6 mm thick slice was cut out from an aragonite crystal. One has to be very careful, because crystals could break during this process. Then the slices were treated with acid for a short time and that’s why they show this beautiful waxen luster. A very beautiful star-shaped crystal with tender lila and purple-coloring!
