Description

Probably a part of pyritised ammonite! This cluster is complete, but just a part of ammonite was pyritised.It's rare to find a complete one, and we never can recognize specie! Pyrite in nodule of black marl.One of the rare crystals of pyrite found in Alpes. From a little area near the lake of Serre-Ponçon, in Hautes-Alpes. Prepared with HCl and needles. Sometimes, one or two faces of octahedron are developed, and the crystal seems broken, but not.
