Description

You are bidding on a small sample with two extremely rare species from the Franklin District. One vug hosts a very nice, but small cluster of flinkite crystals. The other hosts an even rarer mineral from the district, hausmannite as tiny groups of reticulated red-brown needles. Analyzed material by Pete Dunn. Extremely rare! 

This specimen is from the Steven Phillips collection of Franklin District micromounts and rarities curated by Vandall King, and features specimens from a multitude of well-known collectors of the locality including Alice Kraissl, Russ DeRoo, Dave Cook, Van King and others. Many of these samples may be featured in photos in the upcoming three volume series of books being compiled by Vandall King.
