Description

You are bidding on a small sample with a fantastic vug of acicular willemite crystals with two very nice secondary franklinite crystals. Implaled on some of the willemite needles are small clumps of mineral F, a yet undefined Zn, Mn carbonate mineral. 

This specimen is from the Steven Phillips collection of Franklin District micromounts and rarities curated by Vandall King, and features specimens from a multitude of well-known collectors of the locality including Alice Kraissl, Russ DeRoo, Dave Cook, Van King and others. Many of these samples may be featured in photos in the upcoming three volume series of books being compiled by Vandall King.
