Description

You are bidding on a small thumbnail from the Martin Jensen collection with a small area hosting tiny bright red clusters of perloffite crystals with green discoid clusters of mitridatite and minor jahnsite group. This is an extremely rare mineral from this famous mine and this is from the original and only known find of the mineral. The strange red crystals were analyzed by PXRD by Tony Kampf from a specimen out of the Tom Loomis collection of Tip Top minerals, and this specimen traded to Martin from Tom in 2010. This is a small piece of that sample and one of perhaps three known samples from the mine.
