Description

You are bidding on an unusual and very rare sample from the Martin Jensen collection that he collected in 1992 at the Gold Quarry Mine. The sample hosts numerous small radial, pale green sprays of matioliite (these were originally identified as Fe-free burangaite in the Mineralogical Record article on the locality) with strange, sheet-like crystals of englishite, rich sprays of carbonatefluorapatite needles, pale green variscite crystals and pinkish crandalite. This was an extremely limited find and very few samples are known to exist. One of four world localities for this rare phosphate and by far the second best world locality. All species present have been analyzed. This is an extremely rare specimen and much nicer than my photos depict.
