Description

You are bidding on a wonderful thumbnail from the Martin Jensen collection. This material was collected by Fred Pough around 1943 when the mine was not active and the specimen given to Martin in 1992. The specimen consists of vugs in cobaltian dolomite hosting sharp spherocobaltite rhombs with numerous small, bright blue spheres of lavendulan (label says lemanskiite, but most likely not). Amazing, colorful association that has not been seen since from the prolific Bou Azzer district. There is also another vug on the sample with typical sprays of goethite blades.
