Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, New Jersey, United States of America
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.3 × 3.8 × 2.3 cm
Description

You are bidding on a large and very rich sample with abundant blades and clusters of cobaltian pharmacolite on matrix with one small patch of white picropharmacolite spheres. Some of the crystals could also be haidingerite. The color of the crystals ranges from colorless to bright pink, probably getting close to erythrite. Some of the crystals seem to also be altered to a phase that may be close to smolyaninovite but these have not been anaylzed. Very rich and aesthetic old sample that could be trimmed into multiple good micros.
