Description

You are bidding on a large, and truly exceptional sample from the Foote Mine. A new find of kayrobertsonite was made on Christmas Eve of 2018 when I was investigating the original boudler where nizamoffite and another possible new species were found. This sample has a large vug with one incredible, complete radial cluster of kayrobertsonite needles in addition to a larger, cavity contacted spray and several smaller groups of needles. Also in the vug is an area that has some very large, and sharp bladed crystals of kastningite. The entire vug has slight iron-staining which has colored the kayrobertsonite needles a slight yellow color. This was an exceptional find of the species, better than the original find, and this is by far one of the best pieces of the mineral in existence! There are also dozens of small tabular mangangordonite crystals in the vug.
