Description

You are bidding on a large sample with a fracture surface lined with calcite crystals that have an odd assortment of secondary species. There is a large area of crystallized, platy mooreite on one end of the sample in addition to the thousands of tiny pink hodgkinsonite crystals. The most interesting part of the specimen however, are the very unusual rings and curls of hetaerolite crystals growing among the calcite and hodgkinsonite. Very interesting and unusual paragenesis on this sample. From the Ted Bartels collection, obtained from Ewald Gertsmann.
