Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Poudrette Quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, Québec, Canada
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
4.6 × 3.8 × 2.6 cm
Description

You are bidding on a small miniature sample with vugs hosting numerous small white "rice grains" of griceite with pinkish orange crystals of "eudialyte" (Charlie's label states that manganoeudialyte is present, but I am not sure that WDS analysis was done or not). The minerals grow in vugs of ussingite and on the bottom of the specimen is a vug with white natrophosphate. Other minerals mentioned on the label are vitusite-Ce and lovozerite which I could not readily indentify. A rich and complex specimen!
